Heading to New Braunfels for the 2nd week in March for some training. Thought about dragging my boat over for some afternoon fishing trips on Canyon. I have never laid eyes on it and would appreciate some info. No secret spots need, just general info would be a huge help; where to put in, where to start, or anyother local areas to look into.
Thanks

Below is a link that will show the lake and ramps. But, very very few are open as you can see by the low water close elevations. Current elevation level today is 897.60 You can call the COE to see which are open when you get ready to go. Good luck.

There are no secret holes. Navionics and Lake insight maps are pretty good if you have either one of those map cards. It's a lake that will challenge you.

I believe there's only two places to launch your boat. One is at Potters Creek but I can't remember the other one.

boat ramp 1 and 6 are open on the south side of the lake. ramp 17 and ramp 21 at potters creek is open on the north side.
If you are coming from New Braunfels, then those on the south side are closest.
