Will this swimbait catch bass? I don't really throw one but I was passing by a tackle dept. shelf and saw this bait hanging there and for $7 and some change I couldn't resist. It didn't have a split ring on the eye tie so I added on along with the split ring and the big treble hook on the bottom. What say you, for the money, deal or dud?

Well, for some dang reason I can't upload a photo!!!!!! Photobucket seems to be having a issue and I tried to load on using the squares on the top but I couldn't do that one either. So guess I will never know if I did good. Maybe this site is not Mac friendly.

If I take a pic of this thing on my cell, could I text it to someone that may be able to post the pic?

I've been using a Mac for years now. Have you tried uploading to photobucket then copying the "IMG" code to paste it here? The direct link provided by photobucket should also work.

I can't even log onto photobucket for some reason. Gonna try again later. Anyone else having trouble with photobucket?

This really a bad out looking swimbait and I am confident that I will catch fish on it if it ever gets warm enough to fish again, lol.

My guess is its a "ghost minnow"? Or maybe a top level government spy bait? Too top level for the image to be seen by us minions?

cheers

If you do it from your phone, you click on the box with the blue arrow on it. It is the 5th box from the left. $th box from the smiley faces.

Guess it isn't anything special, I tracked it down on-line and it is Savage Gear's trout swimbait 6 2/3" and 2 4/5oz. in hitch color. They have them at Tackle Warehouse but I was shocked to see them at WalMart.

Thanks for loading the pic Fish hunter 59! I have never really used a swim bait but I am going to throw it and see if I can catch at least one fish on it. It was inexpensive and it looked like it might work, so who knows.

Why it shouldnt catch? Bass arent that picky regarding to lures. Beside right lure is only a minor part of the whole successful catch equation time, spot, weather - everything else goes to play too. Go out there and find out grin

Okay, now that I have a pic up of this thing, any suggestions on the best way to fish it? I have several 7 1/2' rods but nothing longer to throw it with. I would guess that a slow steady retrieve to start would work.
