 Caught these a few years back and just haven't been able to tag them again. Since TP&W quit stocking crapperels (cross between a pickerel and black crappie)in Belton and area lakes, they are getting scarce!!! Kind of like Sasquatch!! Got to admit....I wish I would have mounted one!!!! Apparently the fry swim through the holes in the nets used for stocking and are too much of a problem for the hatchery!!! The fillets don't fit in a fry pan or a deep fryer very well either!! That plus the fact that they have a mouth full of teeth has probably added to their demise! Some of these went over 22"!!!!!!

Years ago I caught a big blue up shallow on a jug!!!! Guess what was in it's mouth???????????? You got it!!!!!!
