If you have not read the news here it is. If you live in Rowlett, we need to make sure we show up at city council meetings and have our voices count towards the development of this project. Also, input from non Rowlett users of Robertson Park and Hubbard. We need a game plan and we need some folks to head this up. If interested maybe we should set up a meeting soon before the council meeting.

There was a time when I thought that this would be the best thing that could happen. I hope that is correct. What worries me now is Rowlett is not in the best financial shape. I am afraid they are going to look for some kind of large scale development and when that happens the fisherman will be left out. We have been fortunate to have free access but that will most likely end. I do not mind paying a reasonable fee to launch but not what the marinas on the lake charge.

I think most people would agree with this statement, reasonable and use it to improve the ramps, put in floating docks and fix the pot holes.

Two more marinas there? Looks like Bayview will have some competition. I wonder if Rowlett will lease the new marinas out, or operate them as "city" marinas. Probably lease them out.
More marinas is good news for my business!

P.M. me or visit http://www.rockwalltint.com for info on upholstery or window tint.
Happy fishing!
God bless

Two new Marinas would be a blessing. Jim needs to have some completion. He thinks he can do any thing he wants now since he the only deep water Marina on the lake. He keeps going up every year and making promises that he doesn't keep.

You complain that Bayview goes up every year and makes promises he does not keep. Is he higher than Chandlers? Isn't Chandlers also deep water? You sometimes get what you pay for. I have rented from 6 different marinas in 3 different area lakes in my 35 years of boating locally. 3-5% yearly increase is pretty normal. 11% is my current increase on another lake. Cap Cove is often cheaper than other Hubbard Marinas. Dalrock was my cheapest, but that was in the early 1980's and is long gone. And it was a real POS. More marinas make for a more crowded lake, not more competitive prices. At least that has been the case on Lewisville.

I kept a boat at bayview.a few years and only reason I left was dealing with Jim wasn't worth it.
