REI rents kayaks.

Dave Hull over at Kayak Instruction rents kayaks on Ray Hubbard.
Not sure if he rents them for you to take to other lakes.

Not knowing your location but I've thought of using these guys for a shuttle service. They rent kayaks too. There are some nice fish in this stretch of the Trinity. I've never talked to the company but I've been on the river and talked to the renters coming in and they said they had a good time.

In addition to the above:

Eisenhower State Park Marina rents yaks including Hobies to fish Texoma. Great folks out there too. http://www.eisenhoweryachtclub.com/

I've seen this guy advertising on CL - can't vouch for him in any way. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/sgd/4878720164.html

Always the option to hire a guide although most are specific to certain bodies of water. Here's a popular kayak guide with always great reviews: http://www.shanedaviesguide.com/

Fort Worth Kayak Rentals near Fort Worth Nature Center rents kayaks for use in the Trinity/Nature Center area. He delivers them right to the kayak launch, so you don't have to haul them. Nature Center is a great trip, too.

We have rented from the guy on CL at least a couple of times to take extra kayaks to Beavers Bend with us. He's a nice guy and very reasonable. He lives in eastern Mesquite north of I20. He's been very accommodating with us, even meeting with us before daylight on a weekday morning to help us get out early.

Dave Hull at Kayak Instruction is a great guy. Rented from him a few times before I bought my Cuda.
