I have a 92 alumacraft and I was wondering the best versatile rod holder that would work? The top of the sides of the boat are round. I fish for catfish & crappie or sometimes anything that will bite. I have been looking at different rod holders but not sure which would work best. Any of you have had this problem?

I've used BeeReadys for the past 14 years, whatever anyone like is the best to them. Everyone on my boat has liked the BeeReadys. Weldon Kirk, who guides down there uses BeeReadys.
Others have different opinions and whatever works best for you is the ticket.

I hate following the crowd, but Bee Readys are the best I have used. I bought the adjustables, but they adjustments aren't necessary and just add to the cost.

I have the old version of the fixed BeeReadys and they are directly bolted to the boat. Only rod holders I've used for years and they have held up great. Very simplistic and clean looking too.

I use the Driftmaster holders. They are cheap and I have the bases all down to the gunwales. The rod holders screw into the bases and are easily moved to wherever they are needed. Not high tech, but cheap and effective.
