Quick question or should I say tips requested?
Pond fishing in the cold for bass/crappie, mostly bass, when you know the pond is roughly 3-6 feet at most, none of this "bass are too deep" because the lake is 50 feet deep. I guess I may already have the best idea, which is still no top-water stuff, go soft plastics along the bottom. What'cha think?

Slow bottom baits will work well. You just have to fish really slow and be patient. Suspending jerk-baits in the right color and size will produce some bass too. The big key is slow. They aren't going to be very aggressive right now, but they will bite if the right thing comes along. They will be holding to structure and as close to it as possible (This goes for bass and crappie). If there happens to be any concrete around the edge of the pond or on one side I would start there as it tends to hold heat longer and will keep the water surrounding it a little warmer, 1-2 degree's goes a long way with bass. I would downsize my lures as well. Some people think throw bigger to entice them to bite something that will fill them up more but in my experience with ponds, smaller is better. I've even been using the float and fly method using power minnows and will catch bass. Just have to be patient and fish slow.

Great advice up above. I have been absolutely killing it on Senko's, weightless in ponds lately. Pulled out three 5lbers in one day at one pond the day before the sleetstorm. Everything they say above holds true. Best of luck.
