I was just reading some Louisiana Sportsman articles and they were calling Redears, Chinquapins. Anyone ever heard of this?

Yup, besides my Dad's half of the fam being from EasTex, I have an aunt and her fam that's from Louisiana. Heard, caught and cleaned quite a few "chinquapins". They also sometimes call them stump knockers. Might be a bit of origin there.

I have heard Florida Bream and Shell Crackers a lot. Pretty common terms in Texas and Florida.
