We often complicate our jig fishing. I'm guilty of owning a dozen Plano's packed with jigs of different colors, sizes, and hooks. I know a few of you are too!
Hopefully I can save a few guys some money.
In this week's video I break jigs into 4 color categories and keep the system as simple as possible. You can buy fewer jigs and be just as effective as you were before.

Now that's an intelligent way to save some of your hard-earned tackle money for more costly items, like rods, reels, line, and electronics - great video!

Speaking of jigs. I bought some jigs from a website about a year ago, but I don't remember what it was. I like the jigs, but don't remember where I got them. What I remember is that a couple of pros were behind it, and you basically "built" your jig. I ended up with a few jig heads and skirts (separate). Any ideas?

I've been saying pretty much the same things for a while. Glad to see someone with some clout agrees!

Too late for me. I love fishing jigs, have for many years now and I have a ton of jigs. I do have just a few that are my go to colors. I also make my own jig skirts but they are in the same color spectrum, variations of green, blue, black and brown. Peanut butter N Jelly is another good jig color around here.
