So I make an order roughly 300-350 dollar range and in that order was a punching rod. I received my order and notice that the rod is damaged, not damage from shipping. This damage is noticable, it should have never been sent to me. So oh well, I send tackle warehouse and e-mail they act like they could care less and tell me to send it back and they will send me another one. So I send it back and they already have received the damaged rod. I e-mailed them today to see if they could send me shipping/tracking info and they tell me they don't have it! Has anyone else had any trouble with tackle warehouse? Do do you have to drop a grand to get customer service?

Ordered from them dozens of times, never had an issue. Have returned items with no issue also. Probably an isolated incident, even the best mess up sometimes

Tackle Warehouse has an impeccable reputation. I've done a bunch of biz with them without issue. My guess is that all will be straightened out and you'll be happy

Never ever had a bad experience with TM either on orders or returns.

As said, guess even the best can slip up.

Had a similar issue when they clearanced out the Fuego Spinning reels a few years back, they were sending out reels that had minor issues - scratches in finish, missing pieces, etc - all minor stuff and resolveable, but for a new reel you didn't expect to see it. Lots of posts about it at the time over on TOS. I had to return/swap two myself.

I've had rod shipping issue with them, in fact they are one of my last choices to buy rods from now b/c of it. Poor packing typically. They also can get kinda snarky when asking for a price match - part of that I understand, but if you don't want to do it, then why offer the policy in the first place.

Now, before I'm called negative nancy lol, I've gotten plenty of orders from TW with no issue, but I've started leaning on other shops ie Tackle Trap and BTW whenever possible. Just a personal decision.

The treatment I have received in this order has put a bad taste in my mouth about Tackle Warehouse. I have made several orders with them before and never had an issue. I'm just wondering is this is the start of something good gone bad. Are there any other good sites to order tackle from?

I understand but treatment after the sale is what I call good customer service!

Pick up a phone and call them, never had an issue with CS with them. I almost always call them when I have had an issue and they handle it fast.

I have spent a lot of money there and one thing I like is they include a return label in every shipment. If you do not want it, simply ship it back.

I did call them and the rep's exact words were "send it back, that's the best I can do". Got the cold shoulder on the phone also. I'm not trying to bash, I just wanna know if anybody has had similar issues. I would not have even brought this up but I'm really shocked at how I have been treated by TW.

So you have not gotten a replacement rod or refund? To me they are the best out there, but alas I have never had an issue with anything I have ordered.

Short of them replacing it what we're you hoping for? I deal with them often. Had an order or two messed up but they were great about fixing it.
