Suggestions on a solid jig rod between $100-$150? I know there are tons of high dollar rods out there, however, that's about where I need to stay price wise. Thanks for the suggestions!

The Dobyns Savvy series 735 is a great rod for jigs.

Take a look at the Phenix Maxim series. I've used several different brands over the years but have yet to find a rod in the $110-130 price range that's better. The 7'3 Heavy is my choice for 3/8-3/4 ounce jigs.

A little more than your posted range, but the Savvy Series is quickly becoming my favorite. I have mostly Falcon Cara rods and really believe they are fantastic rods, but with price increases the past several years they have forced me to look at other brands with comparable quality.

Another great thing about Dobyn's is the "no hassle" $60 exchange policy. Broken rods can be a pain to deal with. Keeping up with receipts, shipping to and from manufacturer, replacement fees, being told the break was due to "abuse". The idea of simply walking into Angler's Pro Tackle, paying $60 and walking out with a new rod is much easier to deal with.

Dobyns Savy 734. Perfect tip for up to a 1/2 ounce jig and plenty of backbone to pull fish away from cover.

Falcon Lowrider 6'10" medium heavy. Priced right.

I've got a couple of the Falcon Bucoo (with micro guides) 7' H Lizard Dragger. At least pick one up when you go looking and give it a feel. You can buy em at Academy for $99

Do-Nothing I think the 734 Savvy is only 159.00 the Champion 734 would be about 259.00 The Savvy is a good rod I have few of theses.

Either the Duckett or Dobyns Savvy would be your best bet. Both are excellent rods for the price.

if you are around fork in the next couple weeks let me know I have a 734 Champ and a 735 Savvy you can fish with to see if you like the rods and I believe you will.
