but the bass were biting. Hit an old favorite pond for a study break for a couple hours. Caught about 8 bass on a drop shotted Eagle Claw trout crawler but just could not find any bluegills. This on again off again cold/hot weather must have them lockjawed. Thought maybe since it's warm and there's a front coming they'd be biting pretty good. I'm also hoping that the coot that has taken up residence in the pond hasn't wiped them out. Still a nice way to kill some time. Despite the dog's objections all fish were thrown back.
Pics are kinda blurry due to the crappy iPhone 4 camera...

Thanks guys!

Yeah Chuck although the cold front hasn't hit us yet the bluegills must already be deep, probably due to the inconsistency in the weather lately. It was 75 and sunny for the most part when I was out there.

Thanks Laker! You're more hardcore than I am, no way I'd be standing out there in this cold.

Did not get one Bluegill bite. hammer I did have a nice "Drag Puller" but after a short run it decided to spit the hook. bang Gills have moved to deeper water. hmmm

Nothing better than fishing with your dog!

Nice going on the green pickles

Looking forward to sight casting Suns in creeks when the water warms.

'ppreciate it y'all!

Yes fishing with the dog can be nice, as long as there's something nearby to hook his leash too so he's not running around going crazy. He also sometimes wants to fetch my bait when he sees me cast it lol
