The 1st tournament of the TSA's 25 Anniversary on Canyon Lake started off BIG. Four Stripers over 20 pounds were weighed in. Winning the Youth Angler Division was Colter Wackman. Colter won the division by weighing in a 3.14 pound Striper. Congratulations Colter!! 1st Place was Team Chaos weighing in two Stripers over 20 pounds! Total weight was 49.85 pounds. 2nd Place was Team Keepin' It Reel weighing in a 28.45 pound Striper for a total of 42.23 pounds. 3rd Place was Team Family Style weighing in 1 20 plus pound fish for a total weight of 24.21 pounds. It was the perfect storm. Two weeks of relatively balmy weather for February with a major cold front coming in right after weigh in. Fingernail moon. I knew it was gonna be big. I didn't think it was gonna be that big though!!
Congrats to all those that caught the fish of a lifetime at Canyon Lake. I got to touch every one of them. I was honored to be the weighmaster at the best TSA tournament ever!

Very nice fish!I have a question for the TSA fisherman,where did ya'll net shad?At Canyon or Calaveras or another lake.Just wondering, haven't had much luck finding shad on Canyon.

GMB Heck, after a 1 year furlough I'm just now to the point of getting on the forum just to look at fish. I'm still working on actually going fishing. Canyon is closer to me than Buchanan. Wished I could have made it over to the lake tourney day - at least for the weigh-in. Would love commit to Buchanan, but my "work life" has changed since leaving that cush government job I had in the DFW. I have to actually work now Knowing my luck, the one time I get to fish will be when you guys are on Texoma. Only 380 miles from where I am now. But knowing me, I'll still do it  Great 1st start to the new season
