Incredible fish, thanks for sharing. The first time I went fishing on a boat in deep water as a kid I was scared if I fell overboard something would eat me. That's the fish in my nightmare!!!!

I want to know how they weighed it???? On the scale shown?????? who held it high enough to weigh it like that???? too big to weigh!!!-p- I can help with this - they use large weight slings that protect the fish and a special tripod. It's the same kind of rig we use in carp fishing

 That is one BIG FISH!  Side Note: The T.V. show River Monsters targeted the Wels Catfish in one of it's episodes.

Think I would have cut the line sold the boat and gear stopped fishing anywhere I could not see the bottom or deeper than 2 feet. That is crazy fish.
