I popped the ceramic insert out of my Kistler microguide tip on Saturday. Can someone recommend a metroplex or surrounding area person/shop to get this fixed? I don't want to have to ship it back to Trey but will if I have to. I love that dang rod. Thanks.

Can you not heat it up and pull it off and hot glue another on?

If you still have the ceramic insert, perhaps a little Super Glue will do the trick.

Go to mudhole.com, order a tip. All you have to do is heat the old one up pull it off, then put hot glue shavings in new tip heat it up to melt glue and put it on take less than 5min.

If any of you guys break tips and pop tip rings as often as I do, you should do this: Order these: Fuji Tip Top Ferrule Gauge Tip top adhesive Buy a lighter. For less than $10, you're now ready to be a professional tip-fixer.... Once you have your Fuji tip measuring tool, you can place an order with Mudhole for the exact tip that you want. When you have the new tip, fast forward this video to 1:14: There's a few different methods of actually gluing the new tip on, but this guy pretty much does it how I do it...

Barlow's Tackle in Richardson has a good assortment of tips, including micro guides. You can also use 5 minute epoxy to attach. DO NOT USE 30 min epoxy, it does not release with heat easily.
