I decided to try something different when it came to a live bait well for my kayak. I had already made the PVC tube and that was a pain to drag in the water when paddling. Couldn't put it in the kayak for too long since all the shrimp would die from no water. So I made this with 2 large plastic jars. One has no holes and can hold a little bit of water and then put the slightly smaller one in that one when paddling to a different location (also can clip the aerator on the outside of the larger one to keep bait fresher longer). The smaller jar has lots of holes for water flow. I clip it to my anchor trolley ring while I am fishing. I heated up a 16d nail with a torch an punctured the jar in a ton of places. It doesn't take up a ton of space and the bait stays fresh and basically just cost me my time to make (while I was having a yard sale) I am all about making stuff on the cheap but only if it looks pretty decent. What have you guys done for your live bait wells?

Thanks Fish ZoMbIE. I took your advice and posted it in the rigging section. I have quite a few other DIY projects I have done on my yak. A free 360 navigation light w/ flag, stakeout pole and a bunch of others. I will probably start posting some of them in the rigging section in the next week or so. I would love to start an online store to sell some of my stuff. Just don't know if anyone would be interested in the stuff or where to even start. Do you know anyone on this forum that does anything like that??

before he moved. I purchased a
TX Redneck crate from him that i still use today. He made some killer
transducer mounts which he installed on several yaks.
We have some real talented dudes on here. Hmmm, I would make a facebook page
then put that link in your sig if your serious. It may take
off you never know. If you have a really good idea u might consider a patent. u could sell or liscence that patent or just make it and dist. yourself under the protection of that patent. if you get tired of doing it u could do what i mentioned with it.
