Wife and I were out yesterday driving around cedar creek lake. On the way home we passed over kings creek around the kemp area. Saw I guy had launched his flat bottom, looked good for kayaking.

Anyone ever kayaked it? What kind of fishing? Wonder if the sand bass are running in that area?

It probably won't be as good a white bass run as usual if we don't get some good rain. If you check out the satellite view of the area on google maps, you can see that Kings creek is completely disconnected from the lake. That view is from November, with the lake a little over 6 feet low. It's still almost 5 feet low, so it's pretty iffy whether or not there's enough water for the run.

I checked it out two weeks ago and it got real shallow at the mouth of the lake, but I believe they can get up it. It was easy to put in at the bridge with a PA. I am planning on hitting it up again in the next few weeks.
