Has anyone had this done to an older (2002) trailer. I have an EZ Loader tandem axle. Not much of a DIY guy for a project like this. Where to look and what I should expect to pay? Thanks

I recently posted a question in the General Equipment forum about trailer coating. I have an EZ Loader tandem axle as well and got a quote of $1200 to tuff coat my trailer and that did not include sand blasting. The responses I got favored powder coating. To do that, you must remove the lights, wiring and anything else that could be damaged in the baking process. That's a lot of work to take all that out and then put it back. Going to check out places that paint cars next week to see if that is an option.

had mine Line-X'd a few years back.....turned out great. Removed the trailer bunks and all of the wiring, had it sandblasted first and then the Line-X put on and it was a '92 trailer

Just redid my 2006. After much research I found a guy who put Gator-hyde on.. He had never done a boat trailer but said he would do it for $550.00 If I took everything off and had it blasted. It cost me $200.00 to get it blasted.. This Gator-hyde is extremely tough and durable.. Has to be applied with a special gun that heats it to 150 degrees. I had 3 different quotes from paint shops that were from $800.00 to 1200.00----Think I'm going to like the G-Hyde much better.
