Me and a buddy went out to our docks after Christmas and put out 24 x-mas trees in some slips that we had permission to as well as a few empty slips and areas that are open to fish for other dock owners. We picked up the trees, I drilled the blocks, we hauled them out there and then hung them to improve the area for us as well as others to benefit from the structure where there was not much previously.

Last night I went to check my friends boat and see how the fishing was and started talking to another gentleman who I have known/talked too for the last year or so. He mentions that this one person said that 'he' put out all these x-mas trees in various spots and starts telling me about all the trees that 'we' hung. I started laughing and told my friend the 'he' was full of it and an obvious liar. The friend started laughing at 'him' as well.

I could care less but what kind of person claims to have put in the work/effort when they know damn well they didn't do a dang thing? Told me a lot about this 'individual'.

I had someone tell me that they found a missing person in lake o the pines when they saw the car on their electronics. I asked them lots of questions to let them dig a deeper hole and then asked for a pic of the car. He didn't have one, but I did from when I found it so I showed it to him. He no longer speaks to me and I'm fine with that.

I thought you were that same guy knocking on my front door this morning before sun up.....

Thank you again for doing that for me. Hope I didn't scare the family by having some wacko show up that early.

That was a wild story Texmedic but was glad that the family got some closure from it.

I dropped some Bamboo recently and went back to fish it a few days later
somehow it up and grew legs and is no longer there ....
bet that guy told someone he did the work as well

I've always thought it was amusing to hear people say that they know about strange things in the lake. Last year I had to call someone's Bluff about a sunken boat they had apparently sunk them selves and claimed it was never retrieved. I was under the bridge fishing and he pointed to exactly where it went down. I said well that's cool because I have side imaging and as I explained what it was the guy changed his story because he knew I was going to check it. I knew he was lying from the get-go and just wanted to see home dig his hole

If you have some more of those trees I know of a slip at the Joe Pool Marina where you can sink some of them. And I will let you put a sign on the slip saying you sunk xmas trees in it to improve the fishing so you receive full credit for your work.

I have run into people also that seem to want to, uninvited, go into great detail about stuff. Like the guy that proceeded to tell me about all kinds of stuff (ducks, fish, etc.) and all lies while I was fishing City Lake.

Give me 10 1/2 months and you got a deal.
