 Copolymer Line- good/bad, applications?

Not at all educated on the use of copolymer. I've been using Invisx and like it fine but just wondering if I'm missing out on something with copolymer? Heard good stuff about both McCoys and Izorline. So, what do you guys use co-poly for? What are the pros and cons?

I use p line flouroclear on cranks, moving lures, and topwater. Invisx on plastics, jigs, jerkbait.

I use McCoy's XClr for almost everything!
Half the price of fluro...minimal memory...super strong

McCoy's is strong quality line. Its really good with moving baits and especially topwaters. It floats better than mono
|

McCoys mean green, P-line CXX and P-line Premium are the 3 that I use.
They can be used for just about anything.
For jigs, tx. rigs, and shakey heads I use Invizx
For top water frogs and A-rigs I use braid.
For everything else I use one of the 3 listed above.
I crank with both Invizx or P-line premium.

Copolymers will do just about anything you would ever need, as will nylon mono. If all you had available was P-Line CXX or McCoy's you'd never miss catching a fish.

I love p-line copolymer. Low stretch and lots of power.Copolymer is all I use.

only times I have seen good use in it is on a crank bait maybe, and best I've seen is to use it for Carolina rig leaders... the line is STREATCHY... I mean I can't feel anything with it. but I use braid or fluro almost exclusively now soooo

If you can't feel "anything" with Copolymer, you need to upgrade those ugly sticks.

One of you says its stretchy and others say its low stretch. I see his point by using braids and flouro. Are you low stretch guys comparing to mono? And for the guys using it for crankbaits do you go up in rod action and tip to compensate for the stretch factor? I have never used it and curious about it. I am also a flouro user on just about everything but topwater and heavy cover.

If you can't feel "anything" with Copolymer, you need to upgrade those ugly sticks. Yeah the power tackle rod I tried it on wasn't sensitive.... if you believe that I've got some property you need to look at. I can't use mono either way too much stretch. I tried p-line copoly, was super stretchy. I use power pro, invisx and abrasx almost all the time, found a sun line I liked for cranks I may try another

Have used copolymer for years, prefer Silver Thread, "Excalibur and AN 40"
Also FYI their Fluoro is pretty good stuff also
