Has anyone checked out the San Miguel Creek where it crosses the highway just past the entrance to the Daughtery WMA? Is there any water there? Caught some good whites there in the past.

Choke is almost 28.5 feet low according to this lake level website.

It's probably a good bet that if there is water in the creek it's just pools from the last rains and not connected to the main river channel.
Probably be better fishing off the bank around Daughtery launch, if the river isn't too muddy it should be fishable.
Also I would think bank access is better around 99 with it being so low.
Let me know when you and Dan plan on going either there, or the Nueces.
I'd like to tag along and take my kayak. I have an extra if your interested.

Just one more cast!

The river is dry before you even get to the San Miguel.
