For some of us, Spring is right around the corner. For others, you still have a ways to go but it will get here eventually.
When it arrives, what are your favorite baits to throw when its time to cover water and find those big females that are moving toward the shallows before the spawn? This week Tim and I broke down our 5 favorite baits and discuss why each of them makes the cut. I'm curious to see how much your list differs from ours.
Its tough to narrow it down to only 5 but these are the baits that consistently produce the largest bites for us in the Spring. fish

"Glide baits" ?? Ok, someone please clarify. Is this a fast sinking bait or suspended?
God Bless

Thanks. Did a quick search at Cabelas....all they were talking about is FAST SINKING... LOL, I get hung up enough, don't need to make it happen any faster. Seems like some of these are really EXPENSIVE!
God Bless

Lee in Texas, he's correct. They're generally a very slow sinking bait. You can spend hundreds on a glidebait but you sure don't need to. The s waver costs a little more than a good crankbait and will last a long time. If you're not familiar with the glides here is a video we did in the fall about the gear to use and how to work them. http://www.tacticalbassin.com/blog/glide-baits-how-to-fish-the-s-waver
