I called the 800-EAT- FROG, HOT LINE to file a formal complaint and got a recording.

(You better put a Warning Label on the package.) Grin.

It was a cool 32 degrees as idled away from the dock, headed to hole number one.

Let the TM down and eased up on the hole to see it was loaded with fish. Well as my luck would have it, I was looking at them looking at me and they were not interested in bitting. Post cold front can be one of the toughest bites, so that Frog had some work to do.

Anyway I tricked a few into eating a little Frog Legs in 39 FOW. Water temp was 51 degrees.

Ended up with 10 over 1.73 pounds with 2 over 2 pounds, BFOTD was a 2.17 and the smallest was a 1.10.

Now for the picture show.



The Yellow Frog worked the best today.

I have yet to master this frog, but I haven't tried horse head jigs. Is that the trick?

Would you share how you work the jig with the frog? Just curious how you are working it , the crappie must like it , so many big fish caught time after time on a frog. What`s your technique ? I tried the horse head jig one time but no bites.

Kirk, you scared me at first.

If you want the pink frogs, there are a couple of options. First, you can order any color of Thump Jumpers on our website (www.constantpursuitoutfitters.com) then in the comment box say you would rather have pink instead of HIgh Noon or Tree Frog.

Example: Order two packages of one color, and in the comment box just say you would rather have two packages of pink in exchange for the ordered color.

The second option is to email me through the "Contact Us" tab on our website. You can also PM me here on the forum, and I'll get you set up that way.


The trick to working these Thump Jumpers effectively is to keep them moving slowly, so that the legs can do their job. I prefer to either pitch them, or vertically jig them slowly, making sure I go up and down through the brush. I generally fish these jigs with a standard round ball jig head with a number 4 bronze sickle hook. Judging by the pictures above, I'm guessing the horse head style works great too.

Kirk, you got any good techniques you can share with the guys and gals of the forum?
