First I use 2 different shades of Chart and 2 different shades of FL Yellow and I finally compared a few of them. I was surprised how close my favorite FL Chart is to my favorite FL Yellow and one of my More Green FL Chart is not a big leap when vied under a Black light. Anyway I am starting to think it matters not which version of Chartreuse you use, weather it be the Green one or the FL Yellow which that is also a Chartreuse.
Next I was changing the thread of one of my Rite Bobbins and if you know anything about them they are the ones that you set the tension on the bobbin. Well that little star tension thing with the screw attached I dropped and darn if I can find it any place. It just disappeared! So I called Rite Bobbin today and told them what happened (which I wanted to buy one) and the guy said well I will just send you one free. Blew my mind as no one guarantees agains you losing something, LOL! Anyway I know they are not the cheap kind of Ceramic bobbins, but they are very good and now I know they are most helpful so I take that as also very good with their guarantees and don't think that is a reach!
Anyway mostly just an FYI!

The Rite bobbin folks sound like good people. Your color finding is very true and to add to it is lime chartreuse is a coming color. And I think that about 5 feet down and below they are all about same. Maybe show up as differ color. Also the thing is which shade picks up the light better.

Larry that is why I love the shade I had them do on a special order for my marabou and it's a kimd of cross between FL Yellow and the Green Chart. I have some marabou in Green Chart I bought before this and it's even more dark Green so plan on looking at that tomorrow. As well I have some FL Yellow I didn't look at today and will tomorrow and it's a darker Yellow shade of the FL Yellow.
I do believe the one that hugs the FL Yellow that I special ordered is the brightest a and is that way in the water too.

Its not just chartreuse, but a number of the colors are this way. Like your black light way of helping out.

Good info Skip, especially since just last week I got my first Rite Bobbin & you're Rite, (sorry for the pun) that little "Star" tension disc is hard to handle with big fingers! I sure like the bobbin though.

I sure like the bobbin though. Hey Vern maybe on the other site I told how I deal with that little star thing, I just stick my index finger into a space and turn it like that. Too small of an area for both thumb and finger, LOL! They sure help the breaking thread thing when using small thread especially on flies like some of them need.

Okay been at this for a while this morning and finally got finished with all my shades of Chart including FL Yellow. So here is what I want to show, first I have 2 Favorites of these shades, one FL Yellow and one FL Chartreuse. I also included some FL. Green I got some place. I do have some important things to say about this FL Green! First if you don't check your materials that claim to be Florescent to see if they really Fluoresces under a Black light you will not know if it really is or if they have used a dye that was not FL in the mix, it is not going to have the same pop IMHO! So here are the results. Some FL Yellow and FL Chart do show up really different, but many do not show much difference. When I did the rest of my test this morning the other FL Yellow I have I didn't look at before and it's way different. However the only place that sells the real different one is Hareline's product as they do dye their own stuff. Pictures below.... Okay here is my Favorite shade of FL Yellow and probably is because it's the same shade I used in the late 1970's when I bought Blakemore RR's. The other is the Green Chart. Here they are under a Black Light... Here are the FL Yellow I didn't do yesterday and the FL Chart. Okay here are 4 of them including the FL Green I have. Also my Favorite FL Yellow and the other FL Yellow and one of the Green Chart. Same as above, just under a Black Light... So in the end it depends on who's FL Yellow you buy if their is a big difference or not. Probably also depends on how Green the FL Chart is. Also notice how the FL Green did not light up under a Black Light? Well that means to get that color/shade of Green they had to use some dye in their mix that was not Florescent! What out for this in all your materials!!!!! Add one more pic of the 2 big different ones...
