I bought the Powell Diesel Last week from Anglers Warehouse and looked like a great rod for the price of $69. I will be dang if it didn't break the first cast after hanging up some rocks on whitney. Im looking for a new Rod for the A-Rig around that same price Range. Thinking about going with an H20 so that if this happens again, I can take it back. Whats your opinions?

Spend the money on a quality blank designed for arigs or heavier baits

^^^^^This

Drop around $120 and get a Falcon Bucoo Micro Rig Rod.

BMC-76-H for smaller A Rigs
BMC-76-XH for large A rigs

Both of these will work for Carolina Rigs, Flipping, Football Jigs as well.

H2O doesn't make a rod strong or stiff enough to throw an A rig.

+1 You get what you pay for. If you really want something that is going to last, you are going to have to pay for it.

Go check out Power Tackle's swim bait rod (SB4) you'll never have to worry about it breaking on you.

I use a power tackle 104.5 and it does fine with the smaller rigs no problems and actually casts it if you want to instead of lobbing it. Has recoil guides and the guides are double footed so instead of single wrap. Its doubled.

If you're looking for something in the $60-$80 range, anything from the AllStar Classic series works great and the rods are very durable and dependable. I have 3 and they have never given me any problems in the 4 years I've had them.

If fishing was easy, they'd call it catching

Cabela's Tournament ZX series Swimbait/U-Rig rod for $99. Good well balanced rod, light weight but made to throw umbrella rigs. Great grips too. Easy to cast, and good to use for flipping also.
