My son and I decided to avoid the heavy boat traffic/people traffic and paddle up Birch Creek in search of some fish. Paddled up as far as we could go. The weather wasn't helping matters and once the rain came in, we decided to pack it up and paddle back to the truck. The creek wasn't flowing, the catching was terrible, but I spent some quality time with my son and met two friendly yakers on the creek.

Sharing some pics from our adventure today. Not a bad way to spend the day....

Thanks for the report Doctorliver. Sorry the weather or fish didn't cooperate.

Appreciate all the replies. Hardest part is dragging the yaks from the campground to the water. We spend quite a bit of time on the Yegua this time of year, thought we'd check out a new location. It was his choice. I'm stuck at work this weekend, so the Yegua will have to wait till the following weekend. Never paddled up Nails Creek.....anyone ever make the trip?

This lousy weather is really cramping the kayak fishing trips. This coming weekend looks like a total wash out again. COLD, RAINY.....I'm sure I'm not alone, but I'm gettin pretty tired of this weather pattern.
