What's you favorite Pre-Spawn Tactic? I had lots of fun pulling deep water fish off of brush piles the past few days using shaky-head.

Jigs on creek channels. Or ripping a trap or chatterbait through grass.

When I rip a trap through grass. I end up reeling in 10 pounds of grass! What am I doing wrong?

When I rip a trap through grass. I end up reeling in 10 pounds of grass! What am I doing wrong? use braded line and a heavy action rod, it will rip the grass off the hooks.

This may be a dumb question with an obvious answer.. But when 'ripping' a lipless out of grass, do you let the bait sink into the grass and then rip it out OR reel until you reel into some grass and then rip it?
