Why do I always pull in solid fish when I'm not fishing a tourney?? Over a dozen fish caught on brush hog and wacky. Fished slow on the bottom anywhere from 4-12 ft deep Saturday mornin. Anybody else have luck?

I didn't pay much attention to the water temp since I was pulling in fish all the time;) but I believe the warmest I found was probably 50 degrees

Had some success Sunday, midday, on Ray Roberts, caught probably 14 or so, biggest was 3.5 lbs. all 4 to 6 fow on a lizard and a drop shot. Also saw a crappie fisherman catch a 7 lb on a minnow in 4 ft. All off a rocky bank just outside the grass.
I am not making any decisions until the bourbon kicks in!

I found 57 degree water on Saturday afternoon. that lake( benbrook ) has some big fish in it. Weighed in 30 pounds in a tournament last may. Had a 9.55 and a 7.40 that day. Went back out the next day and did the same thing it was a fun weekend. But all the stuff I caught them in is on dry land now.

Skeeter, I found some 54 dg water up at Buck Creek Saturday, muddy water up there, lots of graphed fish but no takers, water is cooler down toward IDB but a lot clearer.
