They would be better served by having watering restrictions.

Dallas will turn the pumps on high and suck it hard in case pumping is shut down during litigation.

The SRA got in bed with the devil on this one....

Just after reading the THF thread it sounds like its not going to be a long hard fight.

SRA obviously is trying to slow down Dallas by raising rates high enough that they won't use the water. Anyone in business knows that wholesale prices need to be way below retail prices even to break even. Dallas paying for water at the same rate they charge their customers, add costs to transport and do their 74 percent of the costs to keep up Lake Fork and you can stick a fork in the Dallas customers. They are either going to win or go elsewhere.

This will come down to what the contract says and who has the most money to [ buy judges ] get a court to see it their way. I would think if Dallas loses this and don't have any where else to get water it won't be good for the people of Dallas but it may make Dallas want to build another lake in the near future. just my .02

I heard that no water would be pumped in March, there was an agreement between the SRA and Dallas, but after reading this, that seems hard to believe

How?? If SRA is charging Dallas the same that Dallas charges it's consumers for raw water? What's the argument??

Because Dallas put up most of the money for the lake to begin with plus pays for 74% of the current upkeep if I am reading this correctly. Trying to look at this from an unbiased point of view have to think Dallas will win in court. SRA may get an increase but not the one they are asking for...JMO. Have to see how it plays out but one thing for sure Dallas will continue to use the water they have too much invested otherwise.

Only if they have a contract that limits price. SRA and Dallas have been negotiating for quite a while. Finally SRA acted in hopes of making Dallas negotiate in good faith. As much as many wish the relationship to fall apart and Fork pumping to stop, it will not.
