I have a 2007 Hpdi 225, yesterday just after i got on plane I noticed I had no water pressure, so i came off plane. As i soon as I did that the overheat alarm came on and i shut ghe engine off. I did notice it was peeing, but not hard. Water pump was replaced 8 months ago, i had no issues earlier in the day.. Need some pointers thanks...

Poppet valve assembly needs cleaned or replaced.

Some circumstances cause the impeller to go pre-maturely. With the low water I am seeing more problems because of fine pebbles and sand on the ramp that gets sucked up on start up or when powering on the trailer. Only other thing that might have happened is you could have sucked up some grass or trash and it went though it. Inspect the thermostats. It is possible the impeller drive sheered in the impeller. I noticed Yamaha has changed the impeller.

Great. Could you tell by looking if the hub in the impeller came loose?
