OP D Ozio - Lake Fork Guide Angler Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 332	Today was the definition of "why we bass fish during the winter". Mark Spaeth and I trekked to another lake which is close to Lake Fork. The goal was to connect with some numbers and we were handed an incredible day, more than we bargained for. We boated twenty-one bass of which thirteen were over five pounds. Our best five tipped the scales just over 38 pounds. What an amazing day. We used all moving baits to accomplish this feat and still managed to lose several at the boat. Water temps hovered round 54 degrees and the fish were extremely active. He has already booked me for next weekend and can't wait to trounce them again. Let's hope the weather holds up. I think this pond is going to get better over the next three weeks.
