Forgive me if this has been asked before, but is there a good, realiable bank fish finder? Hawkeye came up in a search.

I have one. Meh. Okay for depth, not really useful as a fish finder.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

The Hawkeye is $65 on amazon, they have several specials on the Norcross site for refurbs and trade-ins. I can't find anything on the "Deeper".

Spoke too soon! Found the Deep and a few more on Amazon! Review are pretty fantastic but so is the price. I guess it is a case of you get what you pay for!

I bought a portable fish finder last year... Here is the thread of my review of it and screen shots.

Thanks for the responses...I'd just stick my head underwater, but my slightly bad left eye would keep me from seeing clearly!!!

I like the looks of that Vexilar sonar t-pod. I almost bought one online just to try it out. but I think i'll wait for someone to test it out on some fish somewhere and give their reviews. It definitely would be a nice tool fishing from a kayak or jon boat.

Shut up and fish!

The next time I take my yak out, I'll do a better review. I may hit Lavon to see about getting on some crappie. Should be easy to find them with this but we shall see.

What I would really like to do is have Fisherman13 or RobMoe use their fish finders and connect to mine on their phones and see how it compares to their mounted fish finders. That ought to be a great test.
