You're gonna want to fish the mid to north part of the lake. They should be moving up soon, I figure a few days after this next cold front they will be moving up. Remember though its a deep lake lake so even when they spawn it's still a little deeper than most lakes. Normally me and my old man would go up around holly creek area on a steep bank, take a jig cast it close to the bank and slowly reel it back to the boat. That used to work for us, say hi to everyone for me! I miss my home

Broken Bow is a very cold lake. I suspect you will need to go to the northern end where the water should be a bit warmer. Let us know how you do, I'll probably be heading up there soon. Another lake fairly close by is Hugo Lake and is known for its crappie. I've used Bryce Archie (Broken Bow Lake Guide Service)a couple times with good success. He might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck to ya!

What the people say is right. But as a Texas boy that fish's brown water I can tell you lots of fun, but I always end up at the bend for troupe to cook. Don't think I have ever got enough to cook out of the lake. Their crappie are smart.

Be Careful of those east OK lakes. High mercury levels. The PDF below on page 8 & 9 say Crappie from Broken Bow are safe to eat but they advise restrictions on most other large fish. Hugo Lake is similar.
