Any suggestion you can give me on settings to make bait show up good? Want to do some of that video game fishing.

Downscan turn up the contrast, 2D max out the ping, bump up the sensitivity. If that's not enough turn off the surface clarity filter if still no good turn up the KHZ but you lose a bit of width. Should see a line on the screen as the rig drops to the bottom next to the trolling motor then you're good to go! Amplitude scope flasher thingy can be handy to turn on too.

Dont max out ping speed it will wear the ducer out prematurely I run mine at 75 and adjust your sensitivity untill you get it and have no problems picking up dropshot or whatever I drop down there.

I suppose I'll tell you the most important part, your bait has to be in the transducers cone angle to show anything on the screen.

According to lowrance max ping is fine for broadband ducers and it will not wear them out. I think the factory settings for shallow water have it maxed out on the gen2 units if I remember correctly. Not saying it needs to be maxed but if you're not getting the image you want I wouldn't feel bad maxing it out.

Thanks gang! I think I got it.
Can't say I enjoy anything more than dropping down and catching one. It's like crack!
