Had a decent turnout with about 10 yakkers. Fished from 8-11:45am and did pretty decent. I think everyone caught fish, don't recall smelling skunk.
As we head out to the main lake, majority stay about 3/4 mile from the ramp. While Mike and me headed further out. I stopped and fished at one spot and managed a undersize hybrid before heading towards Mike who was 100 yards away from me. We wasn't marking much until Mike start pounding on his yak. Within 5 minutes our FF were lit up like a xmas tree.
For the next 45 minutes we were hammering the sandies/hybrids/stripers while all these time we were looking back at the group thinking they must be onto fish to be group up fishing together. All these time, we were within 5-10 ft of each other taking turns to bang on our yak. Finally I picked up my phone and "tried" to call the group over BUT I keep hooking up as soon as my lure hit the magic depth. Eventually I manage to call the group over but it was a little too late. The fish disperse. Sorry no pics we were to busy catching.
Looked around for a little and decide to join the boat show about 1/2 mile away. Half of us went close to the action but never join the boat show but those that did caught a few more.
Decide to call it a day and head back to ramp around 11:30am for a few cold beverages. Spent the next hour waiting in line to load up our yaks!
Was great meeting everyone, and thanks for making the trip.
As a side note. I find it comical watching weekend boaters following guides all around the lake. I would see a guide fired up his motor and head to one spot and I would see the rest right behind him. Must to frustrating to be a guide.
