I'm trying to help my BIL sell his bass boat but he has no idea where to start in terms of fair price. Don't wanna price it too high to where no one responds and not gonna just give it away either. I figured since most of yall have a lot of experience in boats that one of you might be able to give me an honest/realistic starting price. I haven't gotten pics from him yet, but here are the details. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it and everything works perfect. In fact, he just had it serviced about 1 month ago.
1993 Charger 15 foot 1992 Mariner engine 60HP Trolling motor up front 2 depth finders 2 batteries

I can say that a few hundred spent on buffing that boat out will pay you back in dividends. Several reputable people advertising here on TFF who will take care of you. Good luck w/sale.

Just my opinion, but you did ask. This is 15 foot fiberglass boat w/ a 60 horse motor. It is not really a desirable boat, as it will struggle in bigger water like many Texas lakes. I think you will struggle to get $3k as it's 22 years old. I think it's a $2,250-$2,500 boat at best.

I agree with Frank the Tank I don't believe its worth $3000-$3500, I had a 89 18ft charger in great shape and sold it for $3500, it had a 150 mariner. But try $3500 and see if it sells! Hopefully it will!

One thing is certain, it's the right time of year to sell it. Buffing will help.

A reliable fiberglass bass boat that will safely get a guy out on the water will bring $2000-2500 regardless of how it looks. There will always be buyers that will be thrilled to own that boat and be willing to overlook, or fix cosmetic issues as they go. Buffed and shined it should bring $3000 easy.

Buff it and list it for $3500. If you hold firm, you should get $3000-$3500. If you want to sell it quick, list it at $2750 and take anything over $2000.
