Went out today for the first time and had a blast. I went to Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, which is a perfect little lake for a beginner kayaker in the area. I was the only person on the water for the first hour or so. I didn't catch anything, but today was a confidence trip more than anything. I have posted a video below of my setup. I haven't done any rigging to the kayak yet, but once I get out there a few more times I will figure out what I need. Thank you guys again for all of your feedback and support over the last few months. I am proud to finally say, I am a kayak fisherman.

I will be going back out there tomorrow morning for a few hours if anyone wants to join me. The weather for tomorrow look like it's going to be better than it was today, which was great!

Agreed. Today was my 2nd day there. And it was perfect again, even though I still didn't catch anything!

I got shutout last 2days on benbrook as well but it was some awsome weather and got in good shoulder/arm workout being that I just put on a large rattle trap and started paddling.

The west side is still closed. I used the small entrance made for walkers.
