I caught this gar on January 25th in the nueces river.it is the earliest iv ever caught one.  good luck to the rest of the garfisherman this year

Haven't caught any perch or bluegill for bait lately. Did catch a long nose a week ago on a worm LOL.
My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.

anybody else fishing for them yet? I thinking about giving it a go the last week of Feb depending on weather (water temp also).

im in the same boat, i will be fishing for them very shortly from boat and kayak, and will start guiding mid march on the trinity

Falcon lake just increased limit to 5. They grow Em really big down there!!!
