Good info. boat trailor is going to the DR. For some new paint during this cold front be back in two weeks. that salt is hell on a trailor.

I played hookie yesterday afternoon and walked the bank at Caney Creek from the canoe access at Lake Houston Wilderness park. Caught 3, all in the same spot on a road runner. They didn't seem to care which color. Look for deep water. 2 keepers. No other bites. I was the only one fishing while I was there so it was nice.
Talked to a guy who pulled up as I was leaving, and he said he caught near a limit the day before in the same general area. No big females yet though.
I might try on Saturday as well. There's a snake presentation thing for the kids at the Nature Center at 2, so I'll have an excuse to be out there. Did you fish south on the creek from the launch point? I am probably heading there tomorrow morning or try Spring creek.

Fished Lake H. Wild. Park on Saturday. Beautiful day to fish but not many people catching any whites-at least the guys I talked to. I managed 3 white bass and 1 largemouth bass and credit the insight from local fisherman that helped me out, otherwise I would have been skunked. Overall, there are a few spots with male whites in, but overall the run hasn't started (or at least that far up).

I heard that before all the rain we got they were slaying them at the park. We were fishing way up stream on Spring Creek this past Saturday, and my son caught his very first white bass, a tiny one, on live worms. Caught a few more about the same size. This post has gotten a lot of views but not many posts. Hopefully someone else has a report...

as long as there's no lightning with the storms on Saturday I will be back up there in the creek. Will report back.
