Since I didn't get any love on the Lowrance thread with 76 pages to it, I thought I would give it another try with my own thread...
Hey all, I have recently begun having a problem with my HDS5 gen2. It is getting its sonar reading from the US2 in my Ipilot and works fine on startup. When I go to move to another spot and put the trolling motor back down the sonar won't read anything unless I turn unit off and back on. Any thoughts?
Thanks for any and all input!

You need to put it on "stop sonar" before pulling the tm up, that's just how it is and that's what it takes for it to work like it's supposed too.

OK, thanks. I'll start doing that and see if it improves. Thanks for the response.
