I am fairly new to bass fishing. Fishing port isabel area for past 38 years. Taking boat to bastrop lake next week for couple days and looking for any pointers of where to fish and what lures are best this time of year? Any info would be appreciated.

I'd throw chatterbaits and lipless cranks around the grass.

A rig on the edge of the grass in 10 ft of water. Just start right out from the south boat ramp.
