 Anyone know Tawokoni and want to fish CAT?

I'm considering fishing the CAT Tourney on Twok next weekend, but I don't know the lake. I can be a backseater or I have a little Xpress with good electronics if someone knowledgeable wants to ride along. I just want someone with some experience on Twok. I don't like the idea of fishing any tournament "blind" on a lake that's 10' low. I'd also appreciate any general lake input. I've done fairly well in all the other CAT tourneys I've fished, so I'm not a total novice.  PM me if you're interested. Thanks! EW

The weigh-in will be held at Sky Point RV Park on the east side of Tawakoni off of Highway 276 & CR 1540. Their phone number is 903-447-4800.
The ramp is good, but once you leave their little land cut it is less than 2 foot deep and stays shallow, 3 foot or so for a long ways before you can find 7 foot of water.
I saw a seagull sitting on a stump towards the shore near the mouth of the cove so stay in the middle of the cove.

Once you leve the cut, GO STRAIGHT OUT until you get to the middle of the arm, otherwise you will run aground. I found that one out the hard way

What's up Eric! That's why Jim and I aren't fishing it. We have enough boat trouble on lakes we know! If you plan on fishing the RC tourney this year, and need a partner, I'm game. Jim is having kid #2, and will be sequestered that weekend. Good luck finding a Twok partner!

Yep 10 feets.low.Heck if they allow trolling maybe they will let us use a throw net .all we have to do paddle around and look for fins sticking out of the water.Ha Darrell
