I do, but I only make one bait, a 2" shad with a stinger tail for crappie. I make the bait many times harder than most would. That does limit how fancy I can get. The first photo shows the three colors that have worked best for me the last few months. The second photo is the new laminated colors which I haven't gotten to try out yet.

Bud how do you get just the tail to be a different color?

On the blue/chartreuse bait, I injected a chartreuse bait, cut off the tail and stuck it back into the mold, then injected the blue.

On the electric chicken bait, the tail is actually the same color as the chartreuse on the lower part of the body. The reflection of the pink into the body just makes it look different.

You must be pretty quick. I have that same mold and I can't get the tails to stick to the new plastic.

My plastic, with all the hardener I put in it, is so thick it never gets any thinner than a heavy syrup consistency. If mine will stick to the tails, anyone's should.

I do think the new plastic has to be hot enough to re-melt the edge of what's already in the mold, and that a mold that's pretty warm helps.
