Changing my impeller/and my lower unit oil, 93 Johnson GT 200,is all the Evinrude/Johnson lower unit oil synthetic these days? I'm sure it's "safe", but anything I need to know?

Not really Outboard lower unit oil differs from automotive in the sense that it does not expand or foam like that in your rear end of your automotive It also will separate if water enters. In theold days there was a type "C" that was used in electric shift units. Just make sure the lable says "Outboard Lower Unit oil" And mostly Stay with Major Brands

No their is the petroleum based, synthetic and blended option. Full synthetic is more expensive. Most all gear lubricant has rust inhibitor's now days. I am using Mystic JT7 gear oil in everything. Replace the 2 plug gaskets.
