My fishing partner has a 2006 Skeeter I-21 with EZ Loader Trailer. They warrantied both cracked fenders once and now are telling him they are $1,100 a piece to replace.
Anyone have suggestions? Can you find used fenders?
He is even considering buying a used trailer that fits his boat if anyone has one for sale.
Just looking for options from guys who have been down this road before.
Thanks as always, Brad

Seen it on two of my friends Skeeters. Nice quality high end bass boat on a low end trailer. Shame. No one thinks much about the trailer when buying a boat. Just figure it comes on an adequate trailer. Common problem w/the EZ Loaders. Should get lots of suggestions here. Good luck.

I'm not sure, but at $1100 each, I would call EZ loader and ask if you can replace those Fiberglass ones with Stainless Steel. reason I say.. if the 1st set broke, and the 2nd set broke, I would have to assume that the 3rd set is going to eventually break too. Skeeter did not do well with that fender.

If they are fiberglass call Chris at Classic Fiberglass in Denton - he can fix em - had him fix the ones on my Triton when all the places that the bolts held it on finally broke out - doesn't take much of a bump in the parking lot to break the holes out.

$1,100 each fender sounds about right, but you wouldn't have the problem if there wasn't faulty installation in the first place. I have an '07 skeeter that had fenders replaced in '09. I thought it was a mfg faulty installation and once they were replaced, the issue would go away. Something about they did not use the right washers and it bore the holes out is what I understood. My fenders are fine now. I hope you find a resolution cheaper than $2,200. GL!

WOW.. $1,100 a piece I always thought my metal fenders were ugly but they just started looking really good...
Call Hector @ G&B boat repair in Overton Tx. (903) 649-3195
He used to work for Skeeter before opening his own shop he has come through for me when Dealer wouldn't he will go above and beyond If cant help with replacements I'm sure he could fix them better than new..

That sounds a bit high for fenders. We have seen $475.00 - $650.00 for BCB and Ranger fenders.

+1 on Hector. He repaired my sons' '95 Bass Cat after a tree fell on it during Hurricane Ike. Did an amazing job on the boat and did it for what the ins. paid out (they totaled the boat). He also did some other things the boys wanted done and was reasonable with the price...jm.02cents.
