I'm going out fishing early Saturday morning for crappie and will probably put in around Reynolds creek depending on wind conditions. Let me know if you are out on the lake and where you are finding the fish or if you aren't finding the fish. Ill let you know how I'm doing and what spots I've tried.
I was going to try to open lake on some drop off's first then move to the airport side to try brush piles and then move up the North Bosque if all of that fails. I'm just trying to have a successful day and it would be nice to be able to text someone else on the lake and see how they are doing.

Marcus- Its supposed to be up to 77 degrees on Saturday so I wasn't sure if that would be enough to get the whites to move or not. Send me a message with your number and ill send you a text back. My name is Marc btw
Big10- Normally Id fish for catfish right now but Ive been hearing good things about the crappie. The North Bosque is my go to spot so I was going to save that for last and try to find a new spot or two on the lake but my last few attempts at that Failed.

On Lake Waco the evening feed cycle has been the strongest. Right at sundown being the best. Don't leave five minutes before the miracle happens. Both the bridges Eichelberger and 185 always produce well this time of year. I would also look at the holes in the river holding brush and fish. I would then park on one location and find out when the feed cycles are. No sense running all over the lake or river burning gas during the middle of the day the fish are not going to bite anyway. Black and chartreuse jigs with a minnow. Attached have been producing my biggest fish. The bite is extremely delicate this time of year very very very slow to no action is producing fish right now. (Think about their cold and lethargic they don't want be chasing stuff around slow your presentation ) If you want to get serious about catching crappie I've released my secret formula Crappie attractant to the general public. It works like no other scent attractant on the market today. My product brings the fish to a location so you can catch them. Just like deer corn brings deer to a certain location so hunters can shoot them. All other scent products for crappie are designed to be put on your jig or minnow or hook. CK cakes are designed to be put in the brush . I have other posts on the forum about this revolutionary product. Go read what other people are saying and you'll want to buy some. Just like hunters use corn to attract deer so they can shoot... The crappie King cakes attract crappie to a certain location so you can catch them. My cell phone number is 254 722-2931 call me with any questions or to place an order Ck www.TheCrappieKing.com

We went out last night. Didn't wet a line, just burned gas looking for new spots. It was chilly at sundown, but was beautiful slick. Like CK said above, they are pretty slow right now. Another few weeks and some warm weather should get them moving up.
You guys can have all them slimy whites you can take out. PLEASE get them away from the eating fish.

I have been doing pretty good on the north bosque, lately it seems the colder the better. Been catching them 3'-5' around log jams. They have biting at weird times though, sometimes early & sometimes mid-morning.

Taking my daughter out on the boat for the fist time, can't wait! What are the crappie biting on? Minnows? Plastics?
