River is in great shape!! Size is picking up folks!! Had close to 150 today with a bunch of females mixed in!!

Get your trip booked fast folks! This trip is so much fun for kiddos or anyone who likes catching a hard fighting fish in just about every cast!!

Yeah it will work sometimes. My best luck there has been with redhead /chartreuse maribou body roadrunners. Next best was firetiger rattletraps.

When they get in there really thick you can use a hold crappie hook!

Anyone know if the river has gone down enough to fish the Black Shoals? I've had good luck in the past putting in at 59, walking my canoe over the shoals, and fishing there. Thanks and good luck, it's a great time of year to be on the Sabine.

Hey G3, someone was asking me if a 20 foot boat was too big to put in at these levels. Couldn't answer them because I use a canoe, when the water is lower. Is a 20 footer too big?
