Hey guys, curious if anyone else has ever experience this and how they fixed it. I have tried all the normal recommendations. The ferrite ring, running the power to rear battery, adjusting noise setting, but still get the distortion when I hit the trolling motor pedal. There has to be a fix for this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Jeremy

I'd like to add that the video shows attaching the ground wire to the clamp around the tm. I'd suggest instead, drilling a small in the fin on the tm and putting a small bold or metal screw into it. For this to work, there needs to be a low impedance path to the tm. The clamp must have contact through the coating of the motor or it won't make that low impedance connection. By drilling the hole, you insure a good contact.

What Trolling motor and what transducer do you have ?
I had interference until I scrapped the MG and went with MinnKota and the largest transducer than HB makes.
good luck

Mo MO, any variable speed tm produces rf interference. I suspect any older tm might be a problem for our newer electronics. Until the European Union made it mandatory that we test for EMI that any US manufacturers did. And all of them now do a much better job of it today.
