So, just wondering: Which is better a kayak or a canoe? Also, im a pretty big guy (325 or so), which would be more stable for me, as i'm not a fan of falling in the water and loosing all of my stuff... Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I'm 6'7" 350 lbs. I am more comfortable in my kayak and definitely have more stability.

What kind of yak do you have? Saw another post about the Frontier 12. Seeing that it is 41" wide, i like that.

I have a Native Ultimate FX 15 solo. It is a hybrid kayak. Has a 600lb capacity. I have loaded it down. Very stable. Comfortable seat, light weight. (I load and unload it off the top of my pickup.). I am very pleased with it.

I actually went to look at the NuCanoe when I was ready to purchase because of the width and weight capacity. I was told It is very difficult to paddle due to its width and weight however it was Very suitable for a trolling motor. The Native seemed more sturdy, more cost effective for what I wanted to do, and was ready to fish right off the showroom floor.
