In the market for a new boat and possibly looking at a Skeeter with a white hull and white cap. Just wanted to know how others felt about owning an all white boat...Pros, Cons, or both .

It's your money, get what you want. Personally I like a white Skeeter with colors other than all white, just doesn't look right.

White Hull won't show scratch and scraps. probably have to wipe it down so the hull won't turn colors. A different color on top.

I bought my boat brand new in 07, it has an all white hull and I don't have any issues keeping it clean! Still shines like the day I bought it. Man I have to say I seen a bug 20 footer in town the other day and it was solid white and all the other marking were black, you wanna talk about a fine rig that thing was gorgeous.

I do not like a white boat that is just my opinion. I figure If a boat cost X amount of dollars $$ and comes with flake then why pay the same price for a white boat that is the cheapest coating/color with out flake.
So if the price is going to be the same then give me the flake. Never understood how they get so many to pay full price for a white boat with no flake. IMO

As has been said, I think it just depends on what you like, JS. I have an all white Ranger. Ordered it that way. Think it is the classiest, cleanest boat on the water. Wouldn't change a thing about it. I tend to run a little understated, though, so to each his own. I don't even like pinstripes on my truck....I might argue that white ages differently than the flake boats. Texas sun is brutal. 'Course, you could get some yellowing if you don't take care of it, so pick your damage....I've heard arguments both ways on the hull. Some say black is more natural; some say white. I always went with the WW2 bomber theory. There's a reason the bottom was white. On a bass boat in Texas, probably makes no differece....White absolutely hides scratches better than any color, flake, etc....Again, get the boat that you like and can afford. All boats are cool.

My Skeeter is mostly white with a black hull. I don't care for the white. I run through some muddy water and it turns my boat tan. Just a pain because you always have to keep it clean to keep it looking good.

I would never have a white interior. Too much glare and shows dirt.

All my boats have been white with a color stripe w gray interior and so will my next. Don't like flake except in gray or silver looks like someone dropped glitter in the paint to me. I'm a muscle car guy too so it's only natural to got for something with that type if styling (Think boss 302 etc).
Yes my boats look like heck most winter and especially after trailering in the rain but I don't care kind of forces me to stay on top of keeping em clean.

Mine is white gel with red and black accents, all gel. Allison has never made a flake boat that I know of. I really like the all white hull. Easy to keep clean and looks really sharp.

I have owned a white boat and a boat coated with purple flake. It is a million times easier to while down and keep the white boat clean. The hull on the purple boat would show marks very badly when I would rub up against trees or branches in the water. With the white boat, it will just buff right off. If you are comfortable with white and that makes you happy, I say go for it.

I love the look of an all white boat. Weather it be Legend, Ranger, Skeeter... They just look clean. Don't get me wrong, I love sparkly boats too!! I guess I like all of them!! I think a pro to having white, would be easy repairs with Marinetex...
